Hope ii

Let the sadness depart, let the night turn over;

Life’s peace* will but dawn, if I rise to greet her.

    These two poems communicate beautifully to each other. Well expressed! One of suffering and the other of hope as you have titled the poem. I was just reading a poetry book that says to do what you are doing here, add different voices to the poem. I’ve done that with one of my poems, an angry Muslim youth and the Prophet speaking to him. Well done!

    On another note, I hadn’t realized that you had updated your blog. For some reason, I missed your posts in my wordpress reader. Don’t know how that happened. Glad to be reading your words again : )

    Keep writing and sharing!

  2. Yep problems with the reader: I think it’s something to do with number of tags. I think I have it figured out now. Apologies if it was me ;-P

    I’ll certainly be checking your blog for said poem, inshallah. And yes, I’ve a few ‘dialogue poems’ that I’ll be posting very soon. Please keep a peep out for them. I’d be very interested in your thoughts 🙂

    Thanks for your feedback. You’re right – I am trying to pair such poems, one to antidote the other, if at all possible.
